𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | 𝗔 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 (𝗥𝗖𝗟), 𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝘀𝗶𝗮, 𝗔𝗯𝗱𝘂𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝘇𝗮𝗸 𝗕𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝘁𝗮𝗻 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗰 𝗙𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝘇𝗼𝗻𝗲 (𝗣𝗙𝗘𝗭) 𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟯.
𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀 (𝗥𝗖𝗟) is a Thai-based container shipping line that aims to undertake an economic assessment of the potential trade/cargo traffic to/from BARMM and its environs to support a possible establishment of a Singapore-Cotabato (Polloc) shipping route.
RCL is known for its core business as the carriage of shipper-owned containers (SOC) and its own carrier container containers in an Asian service network. The company currently owns and operates a fleet of 43 vessels with sizes ranging between 388 TEUs and 11,714 TEUs and operates a network of 76 offices made up of both owned and agency partner offices to support its operations.
Through collaboration of the 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗼 𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗭𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗕𝗘𝗭𝗔) and the 𝗨𝗦𝗔𝗜𝗗-𝗨𝗣𝗣𝗔𝗙 𝗥𝗘𝗦𝗣𝗢𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺, headed by Dr. Henry Basilio, Chief of Party, together with the Local Government Unit of Parang, BEZA, and PFEZ personnel, conducted an ocular inspection in the vicinity of Polloc Freeport and Ecozone and discussed the possibility of considering a service to BARMM through the Port of Polloc. A representative from Bangsamoro Terminal Services Inc. (BTSI), a port user, also joined them.
Prior to the ocular visit, RCL also met with BARMM Officials and Business Chamber Leaders through the Ministry of Transportation and Communications at Em Manor Hotel and Convention Center. Representatives from Ministry of Trade, Investments, and Tourism (MTIT) with its attached agencies: Bangsamoro Economic Zone Authority and Polloc Freeport and Ecozone, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), Bangsamoro Board of Investments, Mindanao Development Authority, BARMM Business Council, Local Government Unit of Parang, and Bangsamoro Maritime Industry Authority (BMARINA) attended the meeting.
