The Bangsamoro Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) headed by Atty. Sukarno A. Abas, Deputy Minister, MTIT-BARMM and OIC – Executive Director-BEZA invites Prof. Hussien S. Lidasan Phd to present his concept paper on the possibility of establishing an Agro Industrial Freeport Zone in the Municipality of Picong. The paper is looking at reviving the old Malabang runway for possible conversion into a world-class airport with Hajj Terminal Facilities .

 

It is expected that with the formulation of the conceptual framework plans for Picong as an AEZ and Freeport and for the Malabang Airport with hajj terminal facilities, it will not only contribute to ensuring inclusive growth and long-term peace and development but will also enhance the competitiveness of Mindanao in the international economic arena.

 

Minister Taddik of MTIT formally opened the program by giving his short message of appreciation to Dr. Lidasan

 

The said event was attended by MTIT Minister, Abuamri A. Taddik together with BEZA – TWG Chairman, Eshan Karl O. Mabang and other TWG members and Representatives from other ministries, Bureau of Investments, and PFEZ-BARMM

 

The newly appointed Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Finance, Budget and Management (MFBM) Amilbahar P. Amilasan, delivered his closing remarks by expressing his gratitude to Prof. Lidasan for envisioning Picong as a gateway for another economic progess through Ecozone Development.
