To continuously boost economic development in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the Bangsamoro Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) successfully conducted an Ecozone Technical Assistance (ETA) activity.
The team under the leadership of Atty. Sukarno Abas, the Executive Director of BEZA, actively engaged with key officials of the said Municipality to explore and advance their application as an ecozone developer.
The initiative aimed to assist the applicant in pursuing an ecozone or enterprise establishment, offering technical support, and exploring the collaboration of opportunities to support the ecozone or enterprise plan.
Highlighting the visit’s significance, Abas remarked ”We want to fast-track your application as an ecozone developer, facilitating a clear pathway for investors seeking opportunities to invest in the BARMM and directing them to the appropriate channels for efficient engagement.”
Both parties engaged in a highly productive and collaborative discussion focused on the developer registration process. The exchange of ideas and information was effective in addressing a wide range of queries and questions related to the registration procedure.
This strategic initiative by BEZA emphasizes the agency’s unwavering commitment to shaping BARMM into a flourishing economic hub.
Also in attendance were key officials from the Municipality of Wao headed by Mr. Antonieto Montanez representing Mayor Elvino B. Balicao, Jr., the municipal Technical Working Group (TWG), and the technical staff from BEZA.
