Executive Director Atty. Sukarno A. Abas, along with the key personnel from the Bangsamoro Economic Zone Authority (BEZA), participate in the ongoing comprehensive 2-day training session focused on Import and Export Facilitation cum Orientation on Accreditation at Venue 88 Hotel in General Santos City.
 
In his message, ED Abas underscored the significance of Ecozones in Barter Trading, highlighting their pivotal role as essential hubs for trade facilitation. It serves as a crucial center for barter trading, offering efficient trade areas characterized by streamlined procedures, tax incentives, and robust infrastructure support. “The potential of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) agricultural products for export is significant. 
 
To take advantage of these opportunities, especially in countries like Malaysia, we need to strengthen our partnerships and engage with national and international agencies to overcome the challenges associated with exporting our products,” Abas said.
 
This 2-day training aims to enhance import and export processes by covering customs procedures, documentation requirements and trade regulations. Participants receive guidance on streamlining operations to promote smoother trade transactions and economic growth, emphasizing the importance of expediting processes for global market competitiveness.
