The Bangsamoro Economic Zone Authority, led by its Executive Director, Atty. Sukarno A. Abas actively participated in a Technical Working Group (TWG) Meeting at Ricci Hall, Ateneo de Davao University on April 25, 2024.
The purpose of the meeting was to prepare a Pre-Feasibility Study (FS) for the establishment of an Agro-Economic Zone in the Municipalities of Wao and Taraka, as well as Marawi City, all located in Lanao del Sur.
The event was attended by Chairman Mohammad Omar Pasigan of the Bangsamoro Board of Investments, Mayor Balicao Jr. of Wao, representatives from the Office of the Mayors of Taraka and Marawi, as well as officials from the BPDA, private sectors, and other government agencies. The meeting was facilitated by the Mindanao Development Authority, UN-FAO, and the Ateneo de Davao University.
