In pursuit of fostering a meaningful partnership for sustainable development in BARMM, Bangsamoro Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) Executive Director Atty. Sukarno A. Abas graced the invitation as one of the guests of honor during the opening of CARD Bank Inc. Cotabato City Islamic Branch.

CARD Bank Inc. is a Microfinance Oriented Rural Bank established on September 1. 1997 in San Pablo City, Laguna. It is the first bank approved by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas by virtue of Republic Act No. 11439 which is An Act providing the Regulation and Organization of Islamic Banks. Currently, CARD Bank has 100 branches operating nationwide, and the Cotabato City Islamic Bank will be its 101st branch.

BEZA being the economic driver to enhance economic cooperation through operationalization of the economic zone, and CARD Bank Inc. objective to cater the unique needs of the Bangsamoro clients will collaboratively strengthen the means of bolstering the Bangsamoro socio-economic development in the region.
