Personnel of the Bangsamoro Economic Zone Authority (BEZA), led by their Executive Director, Atty. Sukarno A. Abas paid a courtesy visit to the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Parang, Maguindanao Del Norte, and was received by Parang Administrator Usman Ibay III.
Atty. Abas and the Chief Economic Development Specialist (CEDS) of BEZA, Fahroneeza M. Kamensa, took the opportunity to orient the LGU officials on the agency’s mandate and presented the salient features of the legal bases in the creation of the BEZA. The LGU officials were briefed about the Ecozone Advisory Council, of which Mayor Cahar P. Ibay is a member.
The coordinated efforts between the LGU of Parang and BEZA are poised to unlock the potential of the region, attract investors, and catalyze economic progress. By capitalizing on strategic partnerships and tapping into the diverse strengths of both entities, this collaboration aims to create a vibrant business ecosystem that will contribute to the overall growth and prosperity of Parang and the BARMM.
Also in attendance were Mr. Orlando Lopez, LEIPO, and Ms. May N. Quesada, Planning Officer. The meeting was held in the Parang Municipal Hall, Parang, Maguindanao Del Norte.
