The Bangsamoro Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) in collaboration with the Philippine Ports Authority Main office (PPA) and PPA PMO SOCSARGEN recently conducted a four-day Port Terminal Operations Course from April 25 to 28, 2023. The event was held at Surya Hall1, Mall of Alnor, Cotabato City, and was attended by employees from BEZA, the Polloc Freeport Economic Zone (PFEZ), and the Bangsamoro Terminal Services Inc. (BTSI).
The course aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of the participants in the field of port terminal operations. The event was attended by more than 30 participants who were given the opportunity to learn about the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in port terminal operations. The course covered a wide range of topics including terminal design, terminal operations, cargo handling, and safety and security measures.
The participants were enthusiastic about the course, and they expressed their appreciation to BEZA and PPA for providing them with the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge. They also highlighted the importance of such courses in advancing their careers and contributing to the development of the Bangsamoro region.
BEZA Executive Director Atty. Sukarno A. Abas expressed his gratitude to the participants and the resource speakers for making the event a success. He emphasized the importance of continuously improving the skills and knowledge of employees in order to promote the growth and development of the Bangsamoro region.
The Port Terminal Operations Course is just one of the many initiatives of BEZA aimed at promoting the economic growth and development of the Bangsamoro region. With the collaboration of other organizations such as PPA, BEZA is continuously working towards building a sustainable and inclusive economic environment that benefits all stakeholders in the region.
