The visit was spearheaded by MTIT Deputy Minister and BEZA OIC Executive Director, Atty. Sukarno Abas, together with BEZA Chief Economic Development Specialist, Ms. Fahroneeza Kamensa and Mr. Simeon Binsuan, Chief Administrative Officer of PFEZ, MTIT-Bureau of Tourism Director, Ms. Marites Maguindra and MTIT-Maguindanao Director, Mr. Romeo Diocolano

During the visit, Ms. Jessamae Cueno, Planning Officer of BEZA-BARMM presented the background and mandates of the agency to the Municipal Mayor of Matanog, Hon. Zohria Saglayan Bansil-Guro and other agencies present.

Atty. Abas further expound that establishing an ecozone in an area like Matanog would help in boosting their economic development and providing more job opportunities for the locals in the Municipality.

The BEZA team also took the opportunity to discuss and introduce the existing policies and processes on Special Economic Zones and identify potential economic zones in the area.

Present also in the site visitation are the key personnel from the Municipality of Matanog, MAFAR-Maguindanao and Netaplas Philippines.
