The Bangsamoro Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) headed by Atty. Sukarno A. Abas, Deputy Minister, MTIT BARMM and OIC Executive Director – BEZA , in collaboration with Philippine Ports Authority PMO SOCSARGEN conducted its Port Environmental Management Seminar participated by the employees of Polloc Freeport and Ecozone-BARMM (PFEZ-BARMM), held at Venue 88 Dome 2, General Santos City.
The Polloc Freeport and Ecozone (PFEZ – BARMM) is an International port of entry that caters to both domestic and foreign vessels. It has a total land area of 120 hectares designated for various freeport facilities and economic activities.
While ports contribute a relatively small amount of the industry’s climate impacts-and of the overall impacts of supply chains -they often have a significant effect on local community in Parang due to their contribution to air pollution.The safety of port facilities, port workers, and the surrounding communities, and the protection of the environment are interconnected and collaborative elements in the management and operation of today’s port.
This Seminar aims to Manage the port’s growth and development effectively and to ensure safety and promote the health and welfare of the PFEZ- BARMM employees.
The 2-day training was participated by the employees of Polloc Freeport and ecozone (PFEZ – BARMM) and graced by Philippine Ports Authority PMO SOCSARGEN selected employees as resource speakers.
