The Bangsamoro Economic Zone Authority (BEZA) together with Polloc Freeport and Ecozone (PFEZ BARMM), welcomes MTIT’s Deputy Minister Atty. Sukarno A. Abas as its newly designated OIC-Executive Director in reference to OCM SPECIAL ORDER NO. 0005 Series of 2022.

The warm welcome was followed by a General Meeting and Briefing of Ecozone Policies and Standards. Opening remarks were made by Simeon P. Binsuan, Chief Administrative Officer of PFEZ-BARMM. According to him, it was a great blessing and opportunity for both BEZA and PFEZ-BARMM to finally have their own OIC-Executive Director after almost eight (8 months). He also added that having someone who will lead both agencies makes a lot of things easier, especially when it comes to decision-making.

The briefing on Ecozone Policies and Standards was given by Atty. Sukarno A. Abas, OIC – Executive Director of BEZA. He gave emphasis on the institutional building activities of BEZA and PFEZ that would improve organizational performance and other activities to achieve various dimensions of the goal.
